2016-2017 Spelling Bee participantsChristian Heritage Home Educators of Wilmington, CHHEW, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2016-2017 Scripp Spelling Bee. Haley Wheeler, daughter of Patty and Jeff Wheeler of Wilmington, is winner of the K-4th grade level. Honor Persing is the winner of the 5th-8th grade level and will advance to the Scripp Regional qualification online test. Honor is the daughter of Michelle and Joe Persing, of Martinsville. Twelve students participated in the CHHEW Spelling Bee hosted by Wilmington Assembly of God on December 16, 2016.
